Exacter is constantly dialoguing with companies in a variety of industiries for new applications of its patented technologies.  Presently the company is engaging in discussions for applications in the railway industry as well as the development of IIoT sensors for a variety of industries. The company is also leading a multimillion dollar initiative with The University of Akron for the development of multiple IIoT grid sensors for use on overhead transmission lines, as well as an innovative application of cable injection technology for underground infrastructure testing & mapping.

Exacter Grid Sensors in Joint Venture with The University of Akron 
The mission of the IIoT Grid Sensor Initiative is to drive research, development, commercialization, and manufacturing of a new smart sensor platform designed for grid outage mitigation. 10 individual sensor functions are being developed for transmission, distribution and underground applications.

Sensors will have the ability to communicate and integrate with one another in single or separate sensor packages. The group has received grant funding in excess of $3 million dollars which is coupled with investments from utilities and commercial interests. The University of Akron and technology manufacturer, Exacter, Inc. of Columbus, OH are leading the development and collaboration between utility industry executives, researchers, commercialization specialists, and manufacturers.   Learn more by clicking here.
